Too many to name, but here are a few:
Ernest Tubb, Hank Snow, Jim Reeves, Jim Ed Brown, George Strait, Marty Robbins, Dean Martin, Engelbert Humperdinck, Porter Wagoner, Elvis Presley, Jim Croce, Ian Tyson, Homer & Jethro, Archie Campbell, Ernie Ashworth, Hal Willis, Billy Walker, Hank Williams (Sr. and Jr.), Charlie Louvin, Bill Anderson, Glen Campbell, Bill Gaither, Charlie Walker, and Jack Greene
Stan Anderson is one of the finest one-man entertainment packages on the road today. He is a veteran entertainer with many years' experience working clubs on both sides of the 49th parallel, and has also racked up some impressive achievements in songwriting and recording. His best known Country song is probably "Sing It to the Monkeys", his 1981 hit written as a reply to the underground barroom anthem "The Rodeo Song". The song received considerable airplay in radio markets across Canada. Stan has also written parodies to many hit songs, as well as many good serious originals, some of which he has recorded. Several of his more recent songs have received considerable airplay on various Internet and overseas radio stations. In the past, Stan has sometimes done concerts with entertainers far better known than himself, such as Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Jr., and Jerry Lee Lewis. He has also worked as lead guitarist for songwriter-singer Becki Bluefield, and the late Marg Osburne of Don Messer's Jubilee fame. More recently, on October 19, 2007, Stan was the opening act for the Edmonton concert of popular Canadian troubadour Fred Eaglesmith. On November 24th, he played lead guitar with Arnie Mack's backup band in concert at Wetaskiwin Alberta's Rainbow Corral with one of his early music heroes, Grand Ole Opry legend Jack Greene.
In addition to singing, and playing guitar and keyboards, Stan is also very good at programming digital backup tracks (MIDI), a skill which serves him just as well on stage as it does in the recording studio. This way he gets just as full a sound on live performances (including vocal harmonies) as he does on his recordings, and is able to work in rooms which would normally require a 3-4 piece band. Also, he is able to vary his repertoire based on the age of his audience, and whether the venue he is playing is for listening or dancing. While Country and Country Rock is his favorite music, he can also include some old Rock 'n' Roll for the younger set, or an old time waltz or polka if he is playing for seniors or a Legion crowd. For a guaranteed good time, drop in and catch a Stan Anderson performance some time. You'll enjoy yourself!
HI Stan Thank you for stopping by and adding me as a friend here on myspace. I will make sure I tell Kit a big thank you for sending you my way, he is a true sweetheart. Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love, Where there is injury, pardon Where there is doubt, faith, Where there is despair, hope, Where there is darkness, light, Where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, not so much to be understood as to understand, not so much to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.
Where are you, Stan? I really miss you very much. At least leave me a message wherever you are and give life signals to me and your loving friends here.
I listened to your song "He Was the Man in Black" and I enjoyed it. I think you might like to listen to one of my songs called "Raising Hell in Heaven".
Hey Stan See you got a show coming up in May.. Depending on my schedule, I would love to come out to catch it.. sounds like some good entertainment It would be great to meet in person and talk music...
Just wanted to tell you that I love you all and it was difficult for me to decide who I thought would DO this because many people claim to pray, but not everyone does. I hope I chose the right twelve. Please send this back to me. (You'll see why.) May everyone who receives this message be blessed. REMEMBER to pray. That's all you have to do... There is nothing attached. Just send this to twelve. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of reward. Make sure you pray, and pray believing that God will answer. May today be all that you need it to be. May the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest in your thoughts, rule in your dreams tonight and conquer all your fears. May God manifest himself today in ways that you have never experienced. May your joys be full filled, your dreams be closer and your prayers be answered. I pray that faith enters a new height for you; I pray that your territory is enlarged and I pray that you step into your destiny within your ministry. I pray for peace, health, happiness and true and undying love for God. Now, send this to 12 people within the next 5 minutes and remember to send this back...I count as 1...you'll see why. Hint: Copy and paste Happy Valentine's Day!
