Why have a MySpace profile? Not really sure (he says in a crotchety old man voice). But here we are with one. If you're really wanting to reach us, the contact info on our web page is better, but knock yourself out.
Anyway, we play music for kids and their grownups on Saturday mornings from 7 to 9 eastern on 93.9 The River (101.5 in Brattleboro) and on Valley Free Radio 103.3 FM, Northampton, Massachusetts. Both stations stream at their websites, and you can stream old shows at our site.
We play both music that's officially for kids (e.g., Dan Zanes, Frances England, CandyBand, Lunch Money, Asylum Street Spankers) and a lot that's not (e.g., Pixies, fIREHOSE, Beatles, Replacements Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, and again the Spankers). And we start and end every darn show with They Might Be Giants (who also wrote and performed our theme song).
I am also Parenting magazine's kids' music stringer -- i.e., I help with their music reviews. I also write a kids' music column for several regional parenting magazines, including Minnesota Parent, Valley Kids, Red River Family, and Little Rock Family.
And if you're a kid, be aware: MySpace isn't for kids. Run! Faster!

Thank you so much for including our music on your program. Although it was a while ago (December!), we just found out. Word travels slowly out here in the Midwest. We greatly appreciate the support. Take care.
Bumblz Media, Inc. is dedicated to the sole purpose of developing, promoting, and expanding a video and music franchise based on a lovable character named Bumblz. To date, Bumblz Media has produced two DVD titles, Bumblz: Clubhouse Friends and Bumblz: the Pirate’s Treasure. Both titles are available through select retail merchants, Amazon. com and their affiliates, and through the Bumblz Media web site.
Bumblz videos are produced with intelligent, thoughtful and entertaining story lines that are simple enough for very young children to enjoy (ages 0-3) but they also have a mix of social interaction and action-based stories that will attract older children (ages 4-6) as well.
The Bumblz world is one filled with fantasy and adventure. It’s a place where kids feel empowered by working together and using their imaginations to solve problems. We feel this storytelling approach adds great value to the video franchise as a superior family entertainment product and is one of its key selling points
Music is an important part of the Bumblz world. We put a lot of thought into our songwriting and our general approach is to write songs that appeal to parents as well as kids. We have produced two Bumblz Tunes CDs, Songs in the Key of Bee and The Bee Sides. Both have been endorsed by Kidsfirst and have been very well reviewed.
Quick favor to ask - Who sings that pumpkin patch song? Do you remember? The one that goes, "I'm a little pumpkin, sitting in my patch...just sitting and singing in my patch." It has a little of a world-beat sound to it. It's stuck in my head and Google is not my friend on this one.
