The site guitargeek.com describes the Poly-Chorus as being "thick and intimate". Sounds like me after my twentieth beer...

Great sounds! Luv ya nuts! Meanwhile, it's all clear to me now, like in terms of the Jerk. The two transistors have opposing collectors/emitters which split the ground from active. +9V feed to base of Q1 and signal feed to base of Q2. The ground from gain lug one runs pretty much through to the ground of volume lug one (or visa-versa). In a backwards kind of way, volume lug two is then the output signal. The 22 uF electrolytic basically rectifies the whole malarky with the positive pointing towards the dual emitter terminal. We had that one back-to-front. The switch (which is definitely a true-bypass) makes sense. Just remember that the toggle just swaps LHS pins 1 and 2 to LHS pins 2 and 3. Same for RHS. Build it and they will come.
Volume = Colour
