BMI Singer-songwriter, Sonny Mayo, released his first album, "So Far So Good" out of Nashville in 1981. Mayo's debut release was critically acclaimed by Record World Magazine and culminated a 6 year apprenticeship in Los Angeles and Nashville. Since then, Sonny Mayo has released 8 albums on the Indie label, Thunder Road Music. Mayo's most recent CD, "Wanderin' Blues," is a collection of blues grooves that has allowed the artist to come full circle and employ the talents of a roster of musicians that Mayo has worked with over the past four years in three different bands: Sonny Mayo & the Delta Drivers, The Easy Street Sliders and JJ Moscato & Blue Avenue. Sonny Mayo is a member of the Western New York Blues Society and, also known as Frank Mayo, has been a Professor of Speech & Theatre Arts at Genesee Community College (Batavia, NY) for 20 years.
