“I really don’t care… I have got to not care; I left a band doing really well to start over again. I have to do it for me. Always.”
Moore’s new project began with him and a laptop, and has now swelled to a full band featuring former Drop Dead, Gorgeous keyboardist Aaron Rothe, guitarist Chris Null (Rooms) and drummer Sean Friday (Rooms). A fragment of his new direction is represented on his MySpace page, tracks with lush arrangements demonstrating the vocalist’s new depth of understanding about melody, instrumentation and the power of his voice. It bristles with the kind of excitement present on Bjork’s Debut, spikes with the bombast of DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing… and glows with the warmth and simple beauty of Nick Drake’s Five Leaves Left. That “something” is hard to pin down, but it is even harder to resist.
i would love to talk to you one day about your philosophies of life, but i know i'll never have that opportunity. you are wonderfully literate and awesome. and, you should marry me too.
"swallow a little of that sea. now taste a little bit of that salt in me.throw up a little of it on your knees. now doesn't that bring you back to the beginning , before you poured your elements away"
