When I was about 15 years old enjoying my record albums, a slow growing musical seed was planted. I called up a music store wanting to rent an ARP 2600 for a week to see if I could play like Don Preston. Needless to say the rental was far more then I could afford at the time. I was shattered as my dreams of playing a synth was over. I then started to mess around with recording tape making strange sounds and doing mash ups.
At 18 yrs old it was off to see some of the world and party until my brain said to slow down. Learning to chat with real musicians while still only dreaming of playing music.
The magic year of 1999 brought my dreams to the surface when I bought my first low budget PC and found the information super highway. I tried hard to make up for lost time in the computer world, trying to learn everything. It was when I figured out that was nearly impossible to achieve, I settled down to explore making music on my PC.
I started with a free version of Acid and became hooked. I'm still learning about music and how to compose and mix better. I now have more synths then I know how to play. Seems I needed to settle that old score of wanting to rent just one synth. While doing everything yourself takes allot of time, I'm not giving up this time!
