Lost Weekends is an amazing debut album by Solo Adultos, a project of The Farangs vocalist/guitarist extraordinaire Chris Cote and the multi-instrumentalist visionary Janne Haavisto.
The opening song, Lost Weekend (Lah Hee!) takes the listener on a journey through perhaps Cuba, Hawaii, China, or even some undiscovered country on an expedition off the beaten track. Everything is possible in the world of Solo Adultos. Melancholic, yet beautiful, melodies of the Euro-western cinema meet the soft soul of India, the New York subway becomes a perfectly good instrument, and the Blues is sung in various languages. The first things about Lost Weekends that will grab the listener, are the unbelievable flexibility of Chris Cote´s voice and the unpredictability of Haavisto´s musical ideas.
