Rock & Roll, Detroit/Southern style -
Quotes:
"They're tight as a drum and you can set your clock by 'em. They also have a lot of interesting layers - performance delivery as well as sounds. I like the syncopation. I like the fact that I can hear all the parts and I think RD is probably one of the best "around here" drummers I've ever heard. They're all fun to watch."
"Solid Dollar has a raw, heavy edge that recaptures the energy of the MC5, the Stooges and the Misfits. Solid Dollar writes complex songs that remember what rock was all about before the hair bands took over. Throw in some lyrics about Bukowski, and it's not hard to believe that these guys have been wanderin way past 4:30."
Solid Dollar, (now defunct) had been playing together for over three years, they're last incarnation stemmed from previous band name, National Dust. They've played shows at Slims, the Hemlock Tavern and 12 Galaxies. When not playing rock shows the boys can be found immersed in anything related to The Lord of the Rings, slinging shots, teaching the youth of tomorrow and gettin amp'd. Please check out Scott's other band, the Dick Dusters.

how was your new years eve?
mine was ok, i partied with some ppl.
I wrote a letter to the town's chairmen to get Chelsea a skatepark, since the cops have been really bad lately with skaters, like 2-3 times a day they drive up to us and tell us not to skate, plus store owners tell us to stop too.
So do you know any pro skaters that have myspaces?
Great show on Monday. You guys, as always, sounded fucking great. It's always a blast playing with you guys, and we should set something up again in a few monthes. Rock on!!!! VOMICA
