My heroes are all those who take life as it is, and run with it. Like my soon to be blind mommy, Naomi. Her most life changing quote to me was ... "Faye Marie it is time to divorce the world and marry your husband!"
My darling husband Gary of 36 plus years who took me ... along WITH my already ... six children (for better or for worse) ... and then gave me one more, (our Carmen)") Because of you we met the One Who is our Anchor. You are always exampling Him honey, to all who have eyes to see.
Son Paul, who fell fifty some feet from a tree, broke his back and who tho partially paralyzed, still amazingly ... walks and inspires others to "walk" too. My other six children who along with Paul are "raising" their mama. I thank God every day for you all. You are all so loved, so wanted, and so special!
Our granddaughter Tiff who came for a short 18 year season and who has gone before us into the wonders of heaven. She and my friends Scotti, and Carolyn, and of course my dear dad are all there cheering us on!
About me: Born in Helena, MT in 1943 (unless you ask the federal government, who have since added a year to my life) to Glenn and Naomi Ryder. I was followed by 3 brothers. My parents kept trying to duplicate perfection, to no avail. 56 First Cousins on the Rider/Ryder side.
Married Gary Paul Miller, the love of my life in 1971.
I have the joy of having 7 children and their spouses call me mom. The Grandchild count seems to be hovering at ... 34/42 ") depends on whose counting ... plus 3+ Greats. My kids and theirs seem to love kids as much as I do, so who knows.
Jesus Christ has been the Lord of my life since 1974. "Loving God and loving each other" are what life is about for me. I speak for Stonecroft Ministries at Women's Connections throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, and B.C. Canada ... sharing my story about how my Savior Jesus found me ... and how others can find a personal and growing relationship with Him too.
