The history of sogoodbunny was an eventful one in the making. It all started back in early 90's with a casual jam in Jack's basement. His parent's basement, that is. The "band" played a couple of Green Day tunes and a handful of self-written songs. Unfortunately, that was about as far as they went...
up until a few years later...
In 2000, Jack, Chad and Chris would meet up almost every weekend at Lake Wallenpaupak in the northeastern PA wilderness. That was the party spot for the future sogoodbunny and all their friends, including two of the band's most active supporters, the Cohen sisters. Between barbecues and jet skiing, the band would sit with acoustic guitars and write songs, as well as jam out classics in their own unique style.
As summer drew near its end, sogoodbunny started playing their first few gigs consisting of the annual Clinton Luau, Chad's Halloween Bash and Mark's famous Wilderness Party. When people cheered and expressed how much they enjoyed the shows, the band knew it was time to take it past the party level, so on to the Pattenburg House they went. Their "audition" was a short set during the weekly open mic, but when the owner was informed by the bar employees of how much business sogoodbunny brought them, he quickly signed them up on a saturday night slot.
sogoodbunny quickly grew to be one of the largest bands in central NJ, playing religiously at the Pattneburg House, and also playing area clubs such as Errico's, Rockafellas and Kiki Rio's. The band even got a couple of chances to play at the legendary Melody Bar in New Brunswick, NJ and Cryan's Ale House in Raritan, NJ. The shining moment of the band's history was playing at the one and only Wetlands in New York City. Not only did they pack the house, they drew new fans from the other bands playing upstairs that night!
Like all good things, sogoodbunny eventually came to an end, but they left behind priceless memories of good times and never-ending parties. Enjoy the songs, which were recorded at their May 2001 show at Kiki Rio's, called "Live Cuts".
