About me:
Sober World is a place for those interested in living a sober lifestyle - the alcohlic, non-alcoholic, normie, addict, recovering addict, recovering alcoholic, etc. Sober World has no affiliation with any recovery group, anon group, government group, or religious groups alike. This is merely a place for those wanting things to do that don't involve drugs or alcohol and only sobriety. Please take from this myspace page what you what and if you wish give something back in return.

Find common interests in others and focus on what matters- being sober. Realize you're not alone. Those interested in becoming group leaders for your area let me know!!! Just create a group. Entitle it with Sober World: (insert city here) and message me so I can customize a logo for that city. From those pages people in your area may post sober events, get togethers, running groups, book groups, movie nights, sober happenings, etc.

Ebbie	Mar 1 2007 2:17 AM Saturday, March 24 the 6th Annual YPAA Mini Conference (CA vs. AZ Kickball) The current series is led by Arizona 3-2, with the trophy being held by Arizona. Here's the deal: bring your YPAA group to represent your state and try to win the dual in the desert. The losing team has to BBQ for the winners and the winning team holds the trophy for the year, and of course, bragging rights. it all takes place in Yuma, AZ (a city on the southern-most border with California). The first meeting is at 12pm at the 449 Club in Yuma Following the meeting, the teams will head to the field for the ultimate game amongst games. Depending on the outcome of the game, the losing team will BBQ at about 6:30pm. There will be a speaker meeting at the 449 Club at 8pm followed by a dance. We make this an overnight deal, and it is definitely a weekend not to be missed. Flyers are soon to follow so keep your eye out, help us make announcements at meetings, and we'll see you in Yuma!!!

OurLady,Myz.DefEyeMe{soberVegan}	Sep 22 2006 12:58 AM Something that really helped me in early sobriety was finding the teachings of Don Miguel Ruiz, The Four Agreements.. GREAT book. There are other books he wrote such as The Mastery Of Love,and The Voice Of Knowledge.. Here is an outline of the agreements~ MuchLight~ThaMyz 1. Be Impeccable With Your Word Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love. 2. Don't Take Anything Personally Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you wonít be the victim of needless suffering. 3. Don't Make Assumptions Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life. 4. Always Do Your Best Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.
