2003 saw the formation of Snowtown and the recording of their 1st, 5 track EP WHISPERS OVER EVERYTHING. This EP was recorded by David 'd-funk' Rylands (of Six In A Box) in two days the lounge room of vocalist Mark Irons.
Since that time, Snowtown have honed and developed their brand of atmospheric, ambient rock - largely through the experience performing around Brisbane and beyond.
2007 will see the independent release of the new EP, entitled PENETRALIA.

i have to say again how much im enjoyin the toons :) the Conversation Ends is just beautiful guys. all of u! because often (u would've noticed) there's something in particular i like about each of your songs, or a certain instrument that stands out for me as amaZing :) But this one is definitely brilliant all round!
Nice simple intro. Love the syncopation Chris when the drums kick in. And the bass line is awesome Andrew - esp straight after the chorus, when everything else drops back. love it. (sweet harmonies on the vox there by the way - who's doing BV's?) Then when that beautiful guitar starts to come in and out! And who's the lucky snowman who gets to play the glockenspiel?! Sounds quite 'Badly Drawn Boy' there. very pretty. Oh, and Mark as u ought to know it's just a given that i love the lyrics! - you know i'm a words gal...
