Sounds Like
.... the third or fourth best band you never heard
Around since the dawn of time and accused of no longer existing. We do. Three full albums, a mini-album, some singles, four compilations and the 12th anniversary re-issue of Manilow out now.... Bring it on. We have been in or played something in/with these bands: Sneeze, Godstar, Headache, Jupiter, Bambino Koresh, the givegoods, Lemonheads, Ben Lee, Manu Trust, Tofu Cock, Carton, seventeen and many more. Stick around, we'll tell you more....
You can also check out the clip for Impractical Joke over at YouTube right now. If we can locate the DVD of the Hopetoun show, we'll whack a live thing up too.
Catch the Hot Potato clip over at YouTube. Hopefully have more up soon... NEW Smudge t-shirts due soon! This little sucker in classic rock'n'roll black with white print is a tribute to our biggest German fan (outside of Mirko and Seja from Sekiden who we thanks endlessly for the translation help!). Head to the bloggoshpere for details on sizes etc and blah.
MANILOW the re-issue is available now featuring supplemented artwork including liner notes from Nic Dalton (Godstar, Sneeze, Plunderers, Lemonheads....) and fan contributions as well as a bonus disc of 17 previously unreleased live and demo tracks..... Get to the Half A Cow website for all mail order details. We don't have it available direct from us.....
Thanks! Great to see your still playin' after all these years ;-) I miss Troy Horse!! If your around in Sydney you must come up to the Hoey to see my friend Mark Steiner from Norway play on the 24th! should be a good night ;-)
"Bambino Koresh (with Tom on bass and his gorgeous wife Leti on guitar and vocals) hit it at 4.00pm"
fuck-we were bumming around newtown with no rhyme or reason at this time exactly, while this was happening a mere bus-ride away!! hope the smudge show was great. wish we could have been there...also mike love not war posters?! wow, do you have any of those left, or did you sell 'em all?
So we're soundchecking with Deserters on a hot tropical lunchtime for a festival at Malaysia's most revered club a few weeks back and while sound-checking Etc-player starts to follow chords your man Zack's playing and what do you know: it's 'Outdoor Type'. Little did we know the other knew it. And now you can at least be sure several bandspeople from several bands in Kuala Lumpur have heard it - albeit done off the cuff by us. Thanks for the lovely.
my parents just think I'm weird...well my dad likes my hair.
Glad to hear Manilow's been re-released. I tracked it down at reading feastival back in 97, but didn't get the 7" that should have been with the vinyl (got burned the same for "Hey Babe" by Jules too.
Get some songs of "you, me , carpark now" up, I still haven't heard anything of it.
