About me:
Funk, soul, boogie & disco are trademark sounds played by Toronto DJ Jude Kelly. Mix in smooth deep house, electronic and traditional Bossa, nu jazz and R&B and the night becomes magic.
I've hosted or produced music series for CBC Radio including, Future Jazz, Soul on the Streets, The New Groove, and The Archie Alleyne Story. He also writes for Word magazine and has DJed parties and events across Ontario, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has interviewed and written about celebrities including Destiny’s Child (featuring Beyoncé Knowles), P. Diddy, Sergio Mendes and Gilles Peterson.
I am the former Chair of the Juno Awards R&B/Soul committee, and the former Vice President of the Urban Music Association of Canada. He’s moderated several music industry workshops, including sessions at the Western Canadian Music Awards and the Toronto Urban Music Conference.
My commentaries and music reviews have appeared on MuchMoreMusic, Definitely Not the Opera (CBC), Big City Small World (CBC), and Flow 93.5 FM (Toronto).
