   About Siobhan O'Brien
QUOTES - Paddy Moloney - “A Voice The World Should Hear” Bono - “WOW” Lilli Kuzma Host of" Folk Festival: radio show WDCB-FM Chicago "Siobhan has a marvelous voice and style, and seamlessly incorporates her musical influences into excellent arrangements that transcend genres". In addition to Bob Dylan inviting her to join him on stage, Siobhan has performed in  concert as a guest vocalist with the famed Irish group The Chieftains. She has also appeared in shows supporting such acts  as: Christy Moore, Donavan, Mick Flannery, Damien Dempsey,Pete Cummins (Fleadh Cowboys/Nanci Griffith/Chieftains) Sharon Shannon, Henry Mc Cullough, Maria Mc Kee and many more.   Leonard Cohen heard about Siobhán from a friend of his which prompted him to send a book  to her called 'Dance Me To The End Of Love' with a Henry Matisse painting on each page, as a gesture of encouragement.   Siobhan's new CD 'Songs I grew Up To' includes  special guest appearances by several of Siobhan's  musical friends including Paddy Moloney (The Chieftans) Pete Cummins(Fleadh Cowboys/Nanci Griffith) & (Irish music legend) Brendan Bowyer,    One of the  tracks from the CD 'All My Trials'  has been picked up for inclusion on a compilation CD,  by British Company 'Matchbox Recordings' .   What's next for Siobhan O'Brien? She is constantly performing in Ireland and America. There is always a new song to be written. Siobhan is enjoying the current wave of excitement her new release  'Songs I grew Up To' is bringing to her always expanding career. TV APPEARANCES The Late Late Show Ireland - POP4  TG4  Ireland- Seoige & O'Shea  Ireland- FROM HOT PRESS: Siobhán O'Brien has been round this way   before and now she's back with a searing anti-war song "Beautiful Bodies". It has a neat pop-rock beat that's in stark contrast to the graphic anti-war lyrics.  It sure makes a change from all those songwriters struggling to find their inner adult. "Indians" looks at the   plight of the Native American in a track embellished by gutsy guitar. "My Man" is more laid back and is a charming country-folk tune,  with O'Brien's voice at its most seductive. With three gems this good, I broke the habit of a lifetime and listened to track four, 'Naked'. I wasn't disappointed.  —  Jackie Hayden, Hot Press magazine, Dec. Cool, Tom would rock that tune of yours, big time. Thanks for asking, the big day is set for this coming November 2. We actually decided on the date in late August, I've been flying by the seat of my pants ever since, movin' & groovin' on this thing, making decisions. I'm having a ball planning everything though really, and Tom has been so great & involved. No bridezilla in the house here, babe! OK, I've had a moment or two, silly things, Tom would tell you, but it's just the Interior Designer in me that does this to 'me-self', really, ha ha.

Enough of us and the wedding, please- tell me how you are, how goes it with you my favorite songbird...

Cheers,
Mo & Tom

why hello there Siobhan O'Brien! i was searching to see what information i can find on myself (personal stuff - home phone, adddress) and ran across you. I listened to some of your tracks and found you to be a lovely musician and surprising - a very similar sound/style to myself, but far more graceful and beautiful. I thoroughly enjoy your music! It is wonderful!

I was born in South Africa to an American mother and Irish father from County Leitrim and have some family in Newtown Gore.

Thanks for the add and keep on keeping on!

Hello My Friend, and our respect for your work !!!

Welcome to our list and thank you for becoming our friend!

The helpless must be protected, and those with no voice of their own must be spoken up for. Those who prey on our children rely on silence, and it must not be allowed to continue!
So thank you for adding your voice to ours, together we will grow louder...AND WE WILL BREAK THE SILENCE!!!
