| About SilentJ |
SilentJ began with two acoustic guitars on a backyard deck in Ellicott City, MD. We soon added a third acoustic guitar that quickly transformed into a bass. Months later, and another meeting on the deck turned up a drummer from up the street. Days later, SilentJ was born in a basement jam session.
So what do you do when you and your friends from up the street play instruments? You form a rock band, and that's what we did. John our master of cover tunes, pushed Jeff and Tim to learn what seemed a like a new song each week. Kevin picked up his sticks, and just joined in like he'd been there from day one. Just six months later, we were working on nine original songs, and gigging in the Baltimore area.
People ask how the band was formed, and we can only answer, organically. It just happened.
Today SilentJ has a growing list of original music, and are uniquely defining a genre of rock. Yeah we know, all bands say that...but really...we can't figure out who we sound like, but ourselves.
