here is the story of how it all went wrong...
In 1995 a band hit the local Indianapolis scene with fire in their bellies and the sweet taste of rock 'n roll on their lips. Playin' shows at the Smith Valley Community Center, Emerson Theater, and various other locations in the early years and as the years passed by gettin' banned from almost every venue in the city was a regular occurance. This city wasn't ready for what this band had to serve up to the beloved patrons. The raw energy, the teenage angst, the swift kick to the pants that this city needed. I now know what it musta been like to be a teen seein' the Sonics in the 60s. These kids were the real deal. Hell, on one track that was put out on Rusted Media Volume 2, "American Scream" was a serious turnin' point in the sound of this band. Justin actually blew out the mic with his loud scream and you can actually tell a difference in the volume on that track when it happens. It was like the vocals went into overdrive. The drivin' drums, the lightnin' speed of the guitar, the runnin' bass lines, the in yer face vocals and wild stage antics was what made this band the best by the end of it all. It was like if you ever wondered where the sense of fear in rock 'n roll went to, it went out with this band after the breakup.
The members of this band went on to be in many other great projects afterwards. The Mighty John Waynes, Real Daughters of Mammon, The Slurs, America Owns The Moon, The Jabs, Those Young Lions, and countless other projects. Sicko And The AbNormals were one of the best this city had to offer and with all those bands afterwards, it just goes to show that the talent went on to make up a huge portion of the current scene. - Rev. Dan
