Shideyang's Interests
|
| General | Shaolin temple is famous, to a great degree, for its Shaolin Quan which is the very essence of Shaolin kungfu, covering the widest range of fields. Shaolin Quan, as the source of Chinese wushu, covers over 40 categories of boxing which is as mellow as cat, as powerful as tiger, as agile as dragon, as lightning as thunder. Only when one master it can he go further in the temple of Shaolin kungfu. |

About me:
Shi Deyang, the 31th successor of Shaolin Temple, leader and coach of Shaolin military monks, and chief wushu coach of Hungary police bureau.
In 1983, Shi Deyang became a monk in Songshan Shaolin temple where he followed Rabbi Su Xi who was abbot of the temple. He is highly regarded for his respect to his seniors and devotion to his fellow students. Many masters of military monks, such as Su Yun, Su Fa, De Chan, Chai Zonghan and Li Zhanyuan gave special instructions to him. With years of painstaking effort, he is credited to be one of kungfu masters. He is especially proficient in boxing and weapons such as Shaolin Dahong Quan, arhat fist, demoniac cudgel and Wuhuqun Sheep-killing Sword, etc.

Who I'd like to meet:
In succession, he assumed the role of wushu director and chief coach of movies and telefilms such as Zhang Sanfeng at his juvenal age, Shaolin and Taiji, Kungfu, etc. Time and time again, he won the best prizes in wushu matches held at home and abroad. He led a delegation of Shaolin military monks to visit more than 20 foreign countries such as Italy, America, Japan, Hungary and Singapore, etc. Not a few news media like People’s Daily, CCTV, Chinese Wushu, Shaolin and Taiji, and Kungfu, etc. reported his merits and achievements in wushu. His pictures were often chosen to be the cover story of many wushu magazines. He is honored to be the representative of temporary Shaolin wushu.
