Some people have told me I sound like Olivia Newton John and some have even mentioned Vanessa Williams...I'd be honored to be compared to those women but I think I really sound just like ME...what do you think?
If you stop for a minute to talk with contemporary performing artist, SHARMANE, you will find very quickly that you are drawn to her abundant energy and infectious spirit. Her love for life, and her faith, is both contagious and welcoming.
SHARMANE (Adams) grew up as a child who traveled the globe. She was exposed to numerous cultures and openly admits that she was blessed with many of the material privileges that only some can imagine. But, as she grew into her adult life and was confronted with numerous challenges, she felt a yearning to grow deeper and more spiritual in her life journey. Although she was rooted in a Catholic upbringing, it wasn’t until she attended a parish mission that she truly converted from being Catholic to being CATHOLIC-living her life on-fire for her faith! As SHARMANE embraced this new direction for her life she also quickly realized that music and ministry would be a significant aspect of this conversion experience. Although she had been singing her entire life, (from performing in pageants to serving as a cantor at her local parish), the renewal of her faith took her music and songwriting in a whole new direction.
In 2002, SHARMANE released her debut album titled, PRAYERFUL HEARTS. This CD was not your typical “contemporary Christian” recording project that many artists create as their first-ever CD. The project was delightfully aimed at children with its musical retelling of the classic prayers of the Catholic faith. SHARMANE took her commitment to this project one step further, however, and made it so that proceeds from the project would be contributed to Our Lady of Clear Creek Monastery (a Benedictine Monastery in Oklahoma). This CD ultimately reached the Top 10 on numerous Catholic music sales charts which inspired others to ask SHARMANE for more of her music. But it wasn’t until she made a long distance move with her family, battled a life threatening illness, and started a new business venture with her husband did she release her sophomore CD, self-titled SHARMANE.
SHARMANE was inspired by the notion of simplifying life through prayer and song. As a wife and mother, SHARMANE understands how life can become so busy that we lose touch with our own inner peace. This CD captures that essence and gently brings the listener back to a place of solemnity and calm. The lyrics are uplifting and stylistically the music is diverse, but the constant theme throughout is about settling down and absorbing a sense of peace and grace.
In 2007 SHARMANE recorded her single titled I SURRENDER. The song was actually written for a friend whose son was battling a very serious illness. SHARMANE says she was praying on ways she could help her friend through this difficult time and that God brought her the song and told her one of the best ways to bring comfort to her friend was through music. I SURRENDER was released to radio through Christian Radio & Retail Weekly. Radio embraced the song and it appeared in the Top 10 on the I-Chart for over 10 weeks! The song hit the number 1 spots on KBCU Radio Top 10 at 10 with Rockin Ron and the IndieHeaven Fan Favs Chart. It also received airplay on the EWTN Global Radio Network. I SURRENDER was a SONG OF THE YEAR final nominee at the 2008 KCCM Awards held in Kansas City. In addition to the single release, SHARMANE created an Impact Project to tie in with the song. Proceeds from every download (exclusively with IndieHeaven.com) would be donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital in an effort to raise monies for children's cancer research.
The music of SHARMANE has inspired listeners worldwide with thanks to radio (especially EWTN Worldwide Radio Network and Sirius satellite radio). She’s been featured in several magazines and newspapers and has been interviewed for various websites and pod casts. Recently she was invited to perform as the featured artist on the EWTN television program, Backstage. She has also been nominated for several UNITY AWARDS presented by the UCMVA.
Today SHARMANE continues to travel as a music minister and as a spiritual champion for her faith and the Sacraments. She performs and speaks at numerous church events and conferences which she caters according to her audience whether it is a youth event, a women’s retreat or a family-friendly parish event. SHARMANE is actively presenting her 3 day mission program titled “Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace” and is passionate about encouraging interaction of the family and delivering the message that Faith is alive in your household. In addition, she recently launched her new YOUTH workshop titled FIND ME, CLEANSE ME! TAKE ME THERE! that she presents to high school students and 2 offset school assembly programs she presents to both middle school and high school students across the country. In 2008, SHARMANE was recognized as FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR at the KCCM Awards held in Kansas City. Through these opportunities SHARMANE hopes to open your heart to God and to help YOU to embrace a conversion of heart.

2007 Was an awesome year with lots of trails but yet also lots of amazing times in ministry, I pray that 2008 will be larger and even more of an adventure for Touch Ministries, but also you as well.
I pray that God will place in your heart a burning desire to serve him faithfully, to dig deep into His word as you grow stronger each day growing closer to our Lord each day. I pray that God will lift you up to be a mouth piece for Him, sharing of his great Love, Passion and Grace is has for everyone.
Looking over the past 16 years in ministry, I stand amazed at everything God has allowed me to be see and to be apart of. The awesome people that God has allowed my path to cross with. Going into so many countries preaching and teaching the Word of God and seeing lives changed before my very eyes.
I look forward to all New Journeys God has to offer to me and you, and everyone else that is willing to stand up and be counted as a messenger for Him, Amen.

Hey Sharmane! That is such a God thing because He had me thinking about you, too . . . this morning!! That doesn't surprise you, though, does it?! He is so cool that way! We had VBS last week in our NEW BUILDING! We had over 200 kids each day! What a blessing! Madelyn got back from the beach on Saturday, and she has several lines on her legs to prove that you were right about those purple flags! I hope you and your family are having a wonderful summer! HEY Sharmane, I just got back from Steubenville South, and might i say this was extremely special. Saturday night they asked us if we were ready to say yes to God and change our lives, and out of 5,000 teens about 200-300 teens including me went up and said yes to change our lives. I have realized it will be extremely hard and i am sure the others have realized it as well. So if you could say a few extra prayers for us. That we may stay focus on the Lord and lose what we aere tought this weekend and the long road a head my be a slight bit easier. Thank you so much! a sister in Christ, Christi
