Long story short, future-comedian Ricky Gervais (David Brent from The Office) combined forces with some guy named Bill Macrae in a New Wave, New Romantic eyeliner-encrusted pop duo in 1982. They only came out with two singles and two b-sides. The band lasted until 1984, and unbeknownst to the band, a year later they had become massively popular in the Phillipines.
