Down the page you'll find a standard issue bio blurb about me (if you care). Aside from the tunes on this page you can go to CD Baby. I have 3 cds for sale there with samples. I work as a music engraver for one of the pulishers not owned by Hal Loenard. I play guitar and bass, and I sing. I'm also a private lesson teacher and was a therapist with autistic children. I play guitar, play video games, cook, hang out with my wife and talk to my guinea pigs. Did I mention I play guitar?
I have a BA in music performance (Jazz/Classical) from UWM and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. I play all styles of music and I'm always looking to work with other musicians. I play solo acoustic guitar music (both instrumental and vocal) and play in the prog-metal band Strange Land. I'm always working on new songs and as you can tell I'm stylistically all over the place. Most of my effort lately is going into my instrumental rock cd (unleashing my inner Joe Satriani).
Bio Blurb:
Sean Gill has already covered a lot of ground in his musical career. Starting guitar at age 13 and after passing through his high school music program he went on to study music in college and recieved a BA in performance. This route took him through the lands of Jazz and Classical music.
Shortly after graduating Sean began to find an interest in traditional folk/singer-songwriter music and in instrumental acoustic music like that made by Michael Hedges and Preston Reed. He found an instant love for this type of music and found it a satisfying creative outlet. "The solo instrumental music I play encompases so many things in one place: the aggression and energy of heavy metal, the hamonic, rhythmic and melodic complexities of jazz and classical, and the gentle wash of new age music," explains Sean. Book of Ashes is his first solo cd. He released his second cd "driving empty miles" in 2001 and October Dust in 2004.
In that time Sean never let go of his first love, heavy metal. He currently records and performs with the Progressive Metal act Strange Land.

MySpace wiped out Dawn’s account on Tuesday. We had built her page up to 35,000 friends. We would ask that you spread the word as to what happened to see if we can get some of Dawn’s friends back before her Video is released.
There will be aspects of Dawn’s video that have never been done in a music video before. And probably will never happen again. As unique and special of a person Dawn was to those who knew her.
Our goal was to make this video a reflection of those same qualities that Dawn possessed. As well as sending a message as it relates to cancer.
MySpace may have killed the number of people Dawn’s video will reach. And even though Dawn is no longer be with us. We won’t like MySpace kill her spirit.
I forgive you. ;) This just means we have to hang out. I think maybe a bunch of people getting together and eating food again is in order. Why? Because everyone needs to eat, and we also need to hang. Let's kill two birds with one stone, shall we? :D YAY!!! I think I ought to eavesdrop sometime on SL practice. 'Cause October 13th is just too damn far away.

I was just going through my old messages to clear some of them out and found an UNREAD message from you from February??? I am so sorry. I don't know how it got overlooked! Yeah, let me know if you would like to submit some of your music for airplay. Your acoustic stuff on your page is very nice, but I think my audience prefers the heavier or at least electric. Hey Sean...likewise! It was fascinating watching what you were doing with the tapping and open tunings at such close range. You have a very propreitary approach to the guitar and music. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope our paths cross somewhere down the road........

Hey Sean Gill. Thank you so much for finding me!! I am so happy because of your friend request! You are ruly amazing. I loved this Move Mountains song, all those variations of sounds, I think you are one of the best guitar players that I've ever heard.
