General
Basically what my profile states.
Music
Give it up for Van Halen.
Movies
I like the entire franchise of Saw movies. I like Red Dawn, Deliverance, Donnie Darko, Raising Arizona and a whole slew of other movies I can't think of right now. I thought my use of the word "slew" was a bit contrived and completely unnecessary. I'm going with it anyway.
I have a morbid curiosity about drug culture movies like Train Spotting and Requiem For A Dream, even though I have never used drugs before.
Some day I would like to watch the entire Police Academy movies in order, even the ones that don't feature Steve Gutenberg.
I have a copy of Undercover Brother on DVD that I bought at a garage sale last summer that I've never watched, but I always plan to. I'm sure it was a good investment.
I like any Ernest Goes to "insert movie title here" movies and I think Jim Varney was a great actor.
I love this scene from Pulp Fiction.
Television
I don't watch or really like sitcoms other than Perfect Strangers. I usually watch horribly boring shit on the History Channel about WW2, or shows about modern inventions like sidewalks and furnaces. Pseudo "reality" programming isn't very interesting because I don't think people on reality shows are as interesting as scripted actors, which is ironic considering all "reality" shows have writers.
I also watch Wheel Of Fortune with my family, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and another show I already forgot about by the time I edited this.
Books
I like Douglas Coupland, books about the battle of Stalingrad and WW2. Calvin And Hobbes is fantastic.
About me: I live for mountain biking, rally racing, guitar, heavy metal, Jeopardy! The History Channel, books about WW2, pop culture, snowshoeing, Calvin & Hobbes, Formula One, Camping, double bass, turtles, photography, blogging, good beer, Buffalo Wild Wings, Gran Turismo 4, Khans Mongolian BBQ, Subaru and kittens. I have a lot of internet friends.
Who I'd like to meet: Somebody who enjoys the invariable constant redundancy of idleness.
For quick breadsticks take store bought refrigerator biscuits and roll them into little "snakes" dip each one into some melted butter that has about a tsp. of garlic powder in it if you wish (or leave this out). Line on cookie sheet so they touch side by side and bake, remove from oven then sprinkle with some parmesan cheese. These always get raves.
great Chris Walken, if thats how you spell his name. Excellent scene from Pulp Fiction. New movie you gotta see, that I know you will love, No Country For Old Men.
I don't think my texts are working right now so.. I want to make sure you get this message. I just got the message you sent on the 19th. And I want to let you know how much I appreciate you reading my ramblings and always saying the right thing to be supportive. You are a really good guy. :) Thank you.
So this guy sends me a text and tells me that he is going to text me all the time now..because he has a phone with a keyboard. I am like....... AWESOME! So he texts me ONE more time and then.. POOF! Haven't heard from him. What's up with that???? By the way, the kitty barn is nearly done. Pack your bags. ;)
Thanks Danny that is sweet. I miss my Orange. And also.. for letting me know when I am not dressed appropriately! Gr. If Dan would stop borrowing my clothes, maybe I would have something to wear!
Days of the New is the one that the singer was on that show for being a meth addict.... Jars of Clay is the one that says the lord don't want you doin' no meth.
We will definitely have to go down there. I am pretty slow though, just started up again about a week ago. I am looking to get into snowshoeing this winter, if I remember right you might be the guy to talk to about that.
That awesome catch in my pic was on Central. But no matter what I do, Heidi seems to one up me everytime. One night we went out, she got a 38", then next cast I got a 39". Thinking I got bragging rights for the evening, she immediately catches the 42". Great night of fishing though. How have you been?
Hey boyee! Was just fishing on the SPOT today where you got your big pike. We caught and released one far inferior to it, only 33". How have you been? We gotta get you up here again and blaze a new path to some unexplored lake.
If you can believe it, I haven't gotten sick yet in a plane this year....<running to knock on wood> Nathan and I were just talking about our trip last year and how much fun it was. Especially the tofu stew! God I still laugh about that!! I've been pretty bad about my blog lately, I need to get back writing again. I didn't think anyone was reading it, so I kind of stopped. Hope you enjoyed reading the trials and tribulations of life up here. Talk to you soon.
Hey Danny, Thank you so much for the nice comment!! I am very glad that you had a good time!! It was nice to meet you!! We just ordered some new t-shirts to give to our clients, next time you come in we will give you one!! Thanks again for coming in today, and have an excellent weekend!!
Hey Boyyeeeee! Things are hectic at camp so far this year, Mother Nature has been giving us a beat down with everything but sun. Fishing is great as usual, we will have to get you up here again one of these years.
