Hey friends, I'm on Facebook too! Add me now if that's where you hang these days!
Halloo There MySpace!
My name is Scott Cooper, I'm a singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada. I write and play simple, laid-back-to-basics pop songs that seem to be enjoyed by melody lovers of all kinds. From little kids, indie hipsters, metalheads, right on through to Gramma's and...monkeys. Monkeys have always had a thing for my music, but that's another story for the Riverbank, Hammy.
I've just completed my 3rd full-length album with producer & friend (national touring artist) Rob Szabo. It's called 'Tiny Increments'. We're talking 11 brand new tracks featuring some of the best musicians in the Toronto area. Please take some time to check out their various projects! "Tiny Increments" will be officially released on September 13th, 2007. Check out a few of the tunes here on my music player.
Here's what some people are saying about the new record:
"...the most gorgeous single piece of recorded work I've heard this year...a highly satisfying hour of romance and goosebumps."
- Andy Frank, CIUT 89.5 FM"
"Cooper’s songs throughout 'Tiny Increments' reflect a sense of craftsmanship rare among other emerging artists...pieces like 'Insomnia Song' and 'Amen' evoke some of the heart-stopping intimacy of Elliott Smith’s work."
- EXCLAIM! Magazine"
"Absolute magic, pure and simple. Few albums make their mark so quickly and so indelibly...All 11 tracks are such a sheer joy and delight to listen to. Absolutely and thoroughly a recommended addition to your collection."

It's my hopes that you fine peoples out there will connect with what I'm doing. If you do, please feel free to leave a comment or drop me a line.

Thank you so much, Coop! That is such a sweet thing to say. I am listening to Goodbye City again now, and it really is just breathtakingly beautiful. We seem to have a lot of musical influences in common. I can see you like The Frames, too. Did you see the movie Once with Glen Hansard? Yes, we should definitely keep in touch. Looking forward to hearing more of your amazing work! x
