I'm influenced by a lot actually. My friend Dan has a big influence on my spiritual growth. My best buddy Sam has a lot of influence on my social behavior growth. But musically I would have to say that Slash and Nikki Sixx are where I learned about stage presence, Tommy Emmanuel has a lot of influence melodically, and John Pettrucci, Eric Roche, and Pierre Bensusan are the guys that I gravitate towards stylistically.
Sounds Like
Scott Bravo sounds like a finger picker, but he's not. He's a flat picker. Since he was raised on rock n roll and metal and not acoustic music he doesn't sound like anyone. There are elements of Folk, Jazz, New Age, and Blues which make it hard to find a place for Scott sometimes but there are few people to compare him to. If pressed I would say that Adrian Legg and Alex Degrassi are the two musicians who he most resembles.
Scott Bravo doesn't care about fame. Scott Bravo doesn't care about what's popular or cool. You won't hear his music on pop culture television shows or used to sell anything. Ever. Scott is an artist in every sense of the word. He abhors doing anything for money and often performs for free. As he falls more out of love with the world he falls more in love with his music. He purposely sabotages his career by refusing to compromise how he looks, what he plays or how he acts in any way. He is the most lovable hooligan you will ever meet. Get to know him and his music. It might change your life.
Scott Bravo's music has been featured in the short films "Animos" and "Transposition" by Matthew Buckwalter.
