In late 2007, Sam Nicholls (formerly of aptly-monikered local heroes aboycalledhero) and Tom Woodstock joined (sometime Tellison stand-in drummer) Mike Frost and Chris Aylett to form SCHOLARS, a rock band with ambition, ideas and a strong sense of purpose.
SCHOLARS play what comes naturally to them – melodic rock with a healthy dose of energy and passion. Combining pop sensibilities and anthemic choruses with creative instrumental arrangements and thoughtful lyrics, the band have created a blend of alt-rock, indie and emo which is heartfelt and free from pretension. A youth spent listening to bands such as Million Dead, Idlewild, Get Up Kids, Hundred Reasons and Braid has stood them in good stead, as they set out to write, record and perform music which means something and will stand the test of time.

That would be really great. I'm going to London with my highschool class. The music class. They're nuts ! And a lot of fun. Maybe i could get my entire class to enter the show. Although most of them are much more into heavy stuff like Slayer and such.. :) But i'll try to make it to the show!

ok boys change of plan, how does feb' sound? (i no its a far way off, but that will only benefit us haha) we're thinking of touring our new e.p. & it'd be such laughs if you boys would join us x
