darkAlternative music: darkambient, industrial, punk, post-punk goth... ...rhythmic & experimental noise, tribal-tronic, steampunk... ...swing and even some rockabilly (the sadder, the better)... ...and (apparently) the current wave of indie that's oh-so reminsicent of 80s Brit-pop!
...AND OH YEAH: guys! =)

FAST OOD ROCKERS - "Song for Kylie (I'm in Love...)"
THE DEADLY DEATHS - "See the World"
But what better way to gain true perspective on the world than to get out there an see it for yourslf? Interact with others, show the world that it's made of people, who (when it all comes down to it) are really all pathetically the same.

I don't care what anyone says, this video imagery is pure "Red Scare" commentary, straight from the Cold War...

Television
I don't watch much television... though I can get seriously sucked into shows on SciFi or Food network when I'm closing the bar. To me, Alton Brown epitomizes what it should means to be the host of a cooking show.
GOOD EATS - "True Brew II" (s04:e12.pt1)
If only I could get past his pronunciation of the word "tofu". But, gosh, isn't it refreshing to see a programme that assumes you've graduated from the 2nd grade? (Be sure to click through the suggested videos for part two.)
But if I did actually watch tv, I'd be more likely to see the cool ads... like this sexy little number from Levi-Strauss:
[WE INTERRUPT OUR REGULAR PROGRAMMING FOR A SECRET LOOK INTO THE WORLD OF THE COLLEGE FRATERNITY LIFESTYLE...]
..
[...WE NOW JOIN OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM, ALREADY IN PROGRESS.]
...remember when Mtv (back when they were still barely showing music videos) aired a great program called Liquid Television? Inexplicably, this one was always one of my fav's:
(...Perhaps--like the movie GUMMO--it has something to do with guys and bunny ears.)
Of course, I will always be a fan of David Lynch's TWIN PEAKS, Sid & Marty Krofft's original Saturday morning LAND OF THE LOST show, and DOCTOR WHO on BBC-1.

When Hasbro released the Oozinator, "what were they thinking?" was the question on everyone's mind. Well, here's an inside look at the 'geniuses' who made the Oozinator possible.
About me:
Tall, dark and bitter... kinda like my coffee. Been shacked up in State College now for quite a few years. I'm looking for (preferably) nocturnal folks to spend time with (when I'm not busy being antisocial, that is).
Common interests a plus, but not required: electronic music (darkambient-drone, IDM, industrial...), psycho-spiritual-mythology, gourmet food, coffee, wine, beer, unusual mixed drinks (sake-tinis and thai-pirinhas are my new favorite things), swimming, brooding...(O.o) Actually, one of my favourite things to do is to make someone tea or cook for them.
all right but i dont want eggs in my food and i DO want to watch wacky habachi shit. by the way ive been obsessed with crowley lately but cant find some of his books, any suggestion?
I recently got a box from my dear Evgenia in Russia (now working Au Pair in Germany) and she just so happned to send me MORE tea, and one of them I'm really in love with! Well, two, and they're both rooibus based. The one that's my fav has coffee beans and almonds (maybe spices, too) and it's AMAZING! but I think the www. teaprofi. ru site doesn't carry that one anymore, but they do have a wide selection including an adorable mandarine orange dried and filled with Pu-erh tea (she gave me one of those, too). The other tea is called Hot Chocolate, but the aroma reminds me of the smell of sweet pipe tobaco, really. This one has cinnimon and coco and i'm sure other goodies to get such a unique flavor. I WOULD send some, but she gave me a very small supply and well, I'm greedy, pfft! I still want to find a website that has the same quality/flavor of pu-erh that Evgenia gave me, but there are SO MANY out there! I think the one she gave me was only a couple of years old and not raw, but I reeaaaallly love it! I call it my "moss" tea. Maybe I already told you about all of this, huh? But anyway. I wanted to let you know about the rooibus combination for sure because it's REALLY good. The only thing is that I'm sure the exact coffee beans you put in are supposed to be a certain kind or maybe even not so fresh because I put a fresh one in once to see if i could get it stronger but it turned out super bitter. I'd like to figure it out so I can just make my own blend.
