Salad Bar Jam was formed on October 20th 2006, while all the members, partying it up on Chongs 21'st Birthday, decided to form a band. They did not realize that after many years of searching for their own bands, what they really wanted was right in front of their face. Bret & Travis were in a band under the guise of Morning Wood. After a few months of playing the drummer fell onto a different genre of music....Steve was in a punk band at the beginning of his guitar playing career, known as The Piffles. Bret was actually a founding member of the band and that is how he came to know Steve and his guitar skills. Both bands eventually broke up and all members went several years without playing with a band. Salad Bar Jam is a generally young group of individuals. Thomas, 17, Bret, 20, Steve, 20, and Travis, 21. They're not out to make a 3-minute over-played radio hit...they play music that they feel... The name you ask? Was made up by their own Bret Knight, while standing in the salad line at school. They're a bunch of guys who love music, love to party, and never forget how to have a good time. They one day hope to get on the bill at a future Schwagstock event, the one single event that had inspired them all to take music to a different level. And so is Salad Bar Jam. Most of their music is totally improvisational, so if you wanna see a show that could go ANYWHERE, come watch SBJ jam.

I love Salad Bar Jam they are so good i love them so much they are my favorite band i listen to their songs the songs are so good i like them all they are so great. I love you guys.
