Band MembersI am a solo artist who composes and performs. I am looking to work with like minded people in the future and hope to make many contacts through myspace music. Please do get in touch if you are interested in working with me.
InfluencesThe key composers who have had an impact on my musical development are as follows and in this order: Jean Michel Jarre, Rachmaninoff, Steve Reich, Mike Oldfield, Yes
Sounds LikeI write in a decidedly contemporary language albeit with a strong sense of melody and harmonic colour. I consider my music to be both challenging and accessible. Often my music will evolve slowly over time and will unfold naturally giving it a spacious quality.

I was born in 1981 into a family of non musicians. I became interested in electronic music at the age of 15 and listened to the music of Jean Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield. I began piano lessons aged 16 and went through a period of intense study until the age of 21. During this time I became infatuated with the romantic works of Rachmaninoff, Liszt and Chopin and my love of Classical music soon developed. After my introduction to the music of Steve Reich I realised that I wanted to be a composer and devoted my entire time to developing my own voice and technique. I have been studying at the RWCMD in Cardiff for four years and will be graduating in July 2007.

Hi Ryan, glad you liked the songs. A Bore's main riff is in 9/8 and the rest is in 6/8. We've got quite a few tunes with time signature mayhem!

Ryan composed a superb piece for soprano saxophone for my final recital. The piece was awesome and went down a storm. Keep writing Ry!
