About me:
I am a naturally curious person and tend to live too much in my head. I love the study of history, especially of political culture. Sometimes I suspect a latent Marxism in myself, but I nonetheless continue to be an avid reader of The Economist. I have a penchant for the ridiculous, aphorisms delight me, and while I’m generally a pretty chill person I can become quite angry at silly things. I delight and despair in the political, and my tastes reflect that (see my books and movies). Lastly, I think dismissing “Old Wives’ Tales” as foolish points to a deeply embedded misogyny in our culture and a closed mind to different ways of knowing…but don’t call me a Pomo!
