Video by John Moore:
About me: Welcome to "a place for all things theater in Colorado."
Hi I am John Moore and I have been The Denver Post theater reporter and critic since 2001. I have my opinions, sure, but I mostly think of myself as moderator of a wider community discussion about all aspects of local theater -- not sole judge, jury or arbiter of what does or does not constitute a successful piece of work.
This page is meant to be a safe place to talk about all the good work being done in Colorado theater.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who has an interest in growing the Colorado theater community and its exposure to the general public.

It's here. It's weird ... will anyone ever get used to it? It's local actors reading portions of John Moore's reviews in a fun attempt to poke a hot-air hole in the sanctity of theater reviews. Okay...here's your next "particularly awesome production photo" for your profile pic...it's from Trailer Park... -or it's just a particularly awesome snap shot I took of myself in the dressing room...really it's however you see it! heehee;)
Yeah, that made me laugh. Of course you know we don't write those press releases. Personally I'm happy to leave that word out for awhile, as I'm aging fast enough, thank you very much.
After reading your article this morning in the Post I feel a big L on my forehead. Of course Annaleigh wasn't mentioned in your online photo journal, she's no longer in NYC! That'll teach me to not stay up on things.
Thanks for the very interesting piece on Jesse Johnson. It's particularly poignant for my household since my eldest (a UNC MT grad) heads to New York to "take her shot" after Performance Now's "Jekyll & Hyde" closes in late June.
How wonderful to see your New York photos with local folks "who done good." I hope you also get a chance to see Annaleigh Ashford (aka Annaleigh Swanson, Denver gal)as Glinda in "Wicked."
Just to add a coincidence to the mix, there are also 11 drama students from ThunderRidge High School (Highlands Ranch, CO) in New York City this weekend. Sounds like a grand ol' time for Coloradans in the Big Apple right now.
Dude. I'm speechless. I don't even know what to say...but I think the real question is...what did YOU say??? You said something, right? Something snarky and random...didn't you? Didn't you? Please say you said something snarky and random.
