The name came from a psychic lady living next door to Adam, insisting that the word 'Ruby' would be the lucky omen to break the band. Lots of her predictions came true and wiith the four members intact, the pieces of the jigsaw fell into place.
After 2 months of songwriting and rehearsing, the band decided to do things differently – realising they didn’t quite fit the Indie buzz – the band decided to take their commercial music straight to the people – The summer ‘07 Rubylux took to the streets… They were sending over 300 people home with a CD after each impromptu street performance, each time gaining bigger crowds. The band have hugely expanded their fanbase, and have even gained ad synchs in Europe, America, Asia and Australia.
With a vast array of influences, Rubylux have set their sights on making their own mark on the music scene. As dedicated songwriters they value a pop hook, strong melody and big chorus leaving the impression of longevity with everyone that hears them. With a new live show, many new songs and studio time in the pipeline, sights have been firmly set ahead and expectations high…

"Screaming Surrender" Used in International Advert
I'm loving your tunes and i saw one of your open air gigs last year, have you got anything of the same planned again?
Have you had a chance to look over the proposal for using one of your tracks for demoing equipment that i mailed a couple of days ago? What do you think? If you think it needs tweaking let me know, we're open to suggestions.
How your advert is doing in here.. Well, at least you have this "community" in one website where all of you Fin fans are talking about your music etc. And i only heard about you couple months ago so.. :)
But the music still sounds great, have to spread the word in here. -Krisse
Hey!! How are you doing? I hope well. I listen to your CD, you gave us in the Summerset Hotel, almost every day (by diving car)... and I love singing your songs while people outside think I..m crazy, because I..m singing for myself :D but that does not matter, because I love it. Haha. I miss England and therefore I will visit my aunt in Liverpool in August. I am already very excited. England is wonderfully. Oh and you should definitely come to the very north of Germany sometime! Ok? ;) I wish you have a nice evening. XXX Mette
Saw you fellas at The Trigger Club @ The Freebutt. Picked out Hold Fire from The Great Escape Festival and have been following them and trying to attend some local gigs ever since. Myspace certainly helps in finding out what gigs are on and previewing what sort of music the bands are playing, hence liking what you guys are doing and attending.
I spoke to Rob on the night and brought your CD. He was basically claiming credit for all your music and success so far saying he was the lynchpin and stuff - i didn't believe him but he was insistent........only joking. Sorry Rob! Good to meet you.
Good luck in the studio and I hope you nail some tracks.
Really great set on Saturday, good crowd too! All the newbie's loved it, don't think it will take much persuasion from me to get them to see you guys again. Hoping for good weather for the 17th, coming up for the Bedford Bandstand with the troops. Hope the recording goes well! See you soon Clare x
