   About Renegade
MARK--- Mark grew up in Yakima, WA. During his High School years Mark took numerous music classes at Davis High School, from singing tenor in the Die Miester Singers Swing Choir & learning guitar & playing bass in the stage band Mark excelled & was voted by his piers "Most Talented" Senior in his graduating class. The next 2 years he atteneded Yakima Valley College where he studied more music theroy, & bass where he played lead bassist in the stage band, from there Mark got his first break at playing in a live country band called Crystal Clearwater. Alabama was the group during that time that inspired Mark to play country. He then served a 4 year term in the U.S Air Force and durning this time Mark continued playing with numerous coverbands, after completion of his term he moved back to Yakima hooking up with some friends in the popular country group "Waco" and "Cops Limited" for 2 years. Moving to Seattle in 1990, Mark took a few years off from music, during this time played competative D Mens Softball in Renton and also coached his time to win the 1996 Renton Championship Tournament. From 1997-2004 Mark played with The Hit Connections a premiere Dance Cover Band playing Muckleshoot Casino, Emerald Queen Casino, PJ Pockets Casino etc. The following 2 years Mark played with 2 other seasoned bands "The Penguins" & "Shelley and The Curves" a (Coorporate Band). During this time Mark shared the stage with Don Wilson of the "Ventures" & on New Years 2007 Mark had the pleasure of sharing the stage with "Roger Fisher" (guitarist) formerly of "Heart", "Alan White" (drummer) of "Yes" and Glodie McJohn (keys) of Steffenwolf, that's right! Now Mark has come back to his roots & you'll find him on stage with "Renegade", as he is the driving force behind this band and will sneak that pulsing country groove right into your boots while your on the dance floor. Mark is a veteran of the Seattle Music Scene, durning his spare time Mark loves watching Movies, Watching sports, Camping, dining out, yard work, (yes yardwork) and watching other bands. When you get the chance come up & say hello to Mark... SCOTT--- Born and raised in Tacoma,Wa Scott started his music career in high school at age 17 when he met his neighbor who played guitar and keyboards. The rest is history! From that day forward he has gone on to play many styles of music such as Rock,Lounge, etc. In 1982 after a six week gig playing Rock music in Kodiak Alaska he decided to take a different route. He found out about a country band called White Line Fever ,auditioned and that’s were his country roots started. White Line Fever did some touring thru Canada, Montana and Wyoming just to name a few. They also played the local country seen. After a couple years he was offered a job with the Local and very successful country band Missouri Freeze! Scott played the local country seen with Missouri Freeze for a little over four years were he gained much popularity and respect for his solid abilities as one of Tacoma's premier country drummers. After his time in Missouri Freeze he was offered a position in RP McMurphy's 77th Calvary. During his over six years they warmed up for Nashville recording acts Steve Wariner ,Ray Kennedy, Lee Greenwood ,Dan Seals, Foster and Lloyd, Southern Pacific, Shenandoah and many more. They also played the local bar seen as weekend warriors. They also did fairs, festivals, elks clubs and many other city events. In 1994 Scott took a thirteen year break to work and raise a family with his wife Julie. In August of 2006 Scott got a call from a long time friend wanting to know if he would ever think about playing. After a lot of thought he decided to get back into country and well.....he now is in the up and coming country band Renegade! Playing better then ever... JOHN--- Rhode Island-born “Fabulous” John Fagan is a versatile and experienced musician who has performed in a variety of situations (bars, clubs, festivals, opening act slots, recording projects) as a guitarist (lead & rhythm, electric & acoustic), mandolinist and vocalist (harmony and lead). With a passion for performing and a distinct sound that is steeped in country, blues and rock & roll, Fagan has the right blend of musicianship and showmanship to complement your band/project. John Fagan started playing the guitar at the age of eleven. He took lessons at Arruda Music, a music studio in Pawtucket directed by August Arruda, Jr. Under the study of guitarist Peter Lepre, Fagan competed successfully as a classical guitarist in the regional ATAM Music Competitions, winning 1st place in his age group in 1991, 2nd place in the New England Guitar Championship in 1992, and 1st place in the Championship in 1993. It was also at Arruda Music that Fagan first met and studied with Rhode Island veteran musician Buddy Cavaleri. Cavaleri provided Fagan with a well-rounded music education, including improvisation, theory, sight-reading and other music essentials. Cavaleri also taught Fagan to play in the styles of blues, rock 'n' roll and country. During his college years, Fagan could be found at various open mic nights playing some of his favorite covers as well as his original songs. In late 1999, after buying a mandolin and spending some time learning it, he began playing regular gigs with his former teacher, Buddy Cavaleri. Since then, Fagan has performed in a variety of bands and has traveled throughout all of New England. Some of his past projects include: -The Incredible Two-Man Band - this acoustic duo, comprised of Fagan and Buddy Cavaleri (www.bucavamusic.com), played classic rock/oldies, classic country and blues standards, as well as some of Cavaleri’s original music, in many bars and taverns throughout New England. The duo also performed at several large festivals, including the Taste of Rhode Island Festival and the Oktoberfest, both in Newport, Rhode Island. Fagan and Cavaleri also opened for folksinger Jonathan Edwards and James Taylor’s brother, Livingston Taylor, at the Newport Sunset Music Festival. -The South County Boys - this 4-piece electric band featured Buddy Cavaleri and John Fagan playing classic rock, classic country and blues at various bars, parties and outdoor events. -Chad Burdick & The Real Deal – this was a 5-piece country band fronted by Massachusetts singer Chad Burdick (www.chadburdick.com). The band played Top 40 Country, as well as music from Chad Burdick’s CD “What’s in Store”, at many casinos, clubs, fairs and festivals. They also shared the stage with such country acts as Andy Griggs, Jamie O'Neal, Lee Roy Parnell and the legendary Charlie Daniels Band. -Seven Bridges - this local roots-rock band consisted of Fagan, singer/songwriter/guitarist Tod McKenna, bassist Dan Simanski, and drummer Nando Neves. Seven Bridges played original music written by Fagan and McKenna at various clubs in Rhode Island. John Fagan currently lives in Seattle, WA. To be continued… GREGG---Lead Vocals, Lead and Rhythm Guitar. Gregg was born in Hawthorne California, but moved to the Northwest as a child where he was raised. His early musical influences were Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, CCR, and southern rockers like Lynyrd Skynyrd, but when Alabama started crankin’ out the hits in the early 80’s, he knew country music, (with a little attitude), was what he wanted to focus on. He soon started playing professionally and started his own band “Horizon”. He has played with various country bands, which include: Horizon, The Freeze, Auburn Avenue Theatre Opry Band, 8 Second Ride, Tequila Rose, and Renegade, to name a few, at nightclubs, fairs, festivals, and private parties throughout the area, for over 20 years now. Gregg usually plays Fender electric guitars with Fender amps.
