Rose Marine Theater's Interests
General
Teatro de la Rosa Theater Company was formed by a group of local Hispanic actors who created their first season of plays in 2003, but began teaching workshops for youths at the Rose Marine Theater beginning in 2000. The company, widely known for its innovative work with children gives free classes at both the Rose Marine Theater and across the Fort Worth ISD through 21st Century, Communities In Schools, and Fort Worth After School. Teatro de la Rosa is on the touring rosters of both the Texas Commission on the Arts and the Mid America Arts Alliance. Go to http://www.maaa.org/rtp/artists/search.pl to view our profile at the Mid America Arts Alliance. Teatro de la Rosa is on the Young Audiences roster of Dallas, Houston, and Abilene. Moreover, we have performed at San Antonio's Guadalupe Cultural Center, the Eisemann Center, and SFA University.

About me:
Artes de la Rosa manages the historic Rose Marine Theater as well as Fort Worth's only Latino theater company - Teatro de la Rosa. Artes de la Rosa manages programs that have been distinguished by both the White House (the Coming Up Taller Award) and the Kennedy Center (a capacity-building program for ethnic-specific arts organizations) as well as our local community (the "2007 Best of the Arts Award" for Best Performing Arts Organization by the Fort Worth Weekly).
The Rose Marine Theater is on the National Register of Historic places, and has been visited by esteemed artists and celebrities from today's Bill Paxton to the stars of yesterday such as Pedro Infante. We program dynamic cultural events that celebrate Hispanic culture and inspire people of every age!

This show is a multi-media experience that tells the fantastical story on stage and on screen. This special blending of mediums tells the story of a determined boxer, a hopeful blonde (THAT'S ME!), a sell-out vampire, an evil angel, a reptilian dealmaker, and a lovesick boxing manager in a post apocalyptic setting where the air is red and the bombing never stops.
You are invited June 13-15 and June 20-22 at the Rose Marine Theatre (1440 N. Main St.) . Show starts at 7:30 pm and tickets are $15. For more info www. thebutterflyconnection. org or call (817) 333-4028.
