Acoustic rock trio RON FLEEGER & THE STRANGER arose from the ashes of regional hard rock goliath ENTITY. In 2004, prior to the demise of his band, singer/songwriter/guitarist Ron Fleeger began performing solo acoustic shows. These shows Fleeger cited as “a breath of fresh air “compared to the heavy confines of ENTITY. That same year, when ENTITY needed a bass player , Fleeger asked friend and multi-instrumentalist Keith C. Kavanaugh of workhorse rock revivalists RALSTON to fill the gap. Fleeger and Kavanaugh would then expand their collaboration to include performing acoustic shows ,with Kavanaugh on drums.
When both Fleeger and Kavanaugh’s bands went defunct in 2006, the two continued to perform on and off together. Kavanaugh also did a stint as drummer in THE TELL TALE SIGNS during this time. In 2007 the pair began jamming more regularly and decided to bring in a bass player to round out the acoustic sound they were working toward, and asked friend Ian Fink to join. RON FLEEGER & THE STRANGER was born.

Remember that time we played at Penn College and we were only supposed to play four songs? We did some of Dalva originals and then closed out the set with the patented "Rockin in the Free World/Baba O'Riley/Ice Ice Baby/Gin & Juice/I Wanna Be Sedated/Along the Watchtower" combination. You can't beat that!
Excellent, EXCELLENT show tonight guys! You really brought life to the whole concert. I was an honor to have played with the band, we hope we can share the stage again in the near future! Congradulations on a successful night!
