The Vintage Band is a 4 member Classic Rock/Southern Rock/Country band from Georgia. They play usually anywhere within 100 miles of Chattanooga, TN. The band was originally formed in 1991 by Dwight Hamrick, Dale Mitchell and Richard Chamlee with Dwight and Richard on guitars and Dale on bass. In 1992 they added drummer Mickey Wofford to the lineup and in a few months began performing as ’Vintage’.
Today The Vintage Band is a 4 piece band consisting of:
Ace Bailey: rhythm & lead guitars & vocals
Mike Flippo: rhythm & lead guitars & vocals
Dale Mitchell: bass guitar & backing vocals
Mickey Wofford: drums & percussion
The Vintage Band has played annually at the ’Chopperville’ party on the mountain, where they have opened for such bands as ’Mustang Sally’, ’Black Oak Arkansas’, ’The Bounty Hunters’, and ’Great Southern’ (a band featuring former members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Outlaws, and Molly Hatchet).
The Vintage Band has played not only at Chopperville annually, but also has appeared at The Alley in Rome, GA., The Irish Cellar....also in Rome, The Endzone in Jasper, TN., Annas by the River in Rome, The Braswell Palace in Braswell, GA., and the annual Calhoun Moose Lodge New Years Eve party. Also numerous private bookings and charity events. As this page progresses, We’ll try to post future bookings on this site.........
