Cocktail Cove Sandy Springs will be raising money for Officer Sam Worsham on Tuesday 8/19 & 8/26 in conjunction with their Full Throttle Bike Night. Entertainment will be provided on the deck starting @ 8pm. Come out and support one of Sandy Springs’ finest.
On Thursday August 7th, Motorcycle Officer Sam Worhsam of the Sandy Springs Police Department was responding to an assistance call from another officer. Although he was utilizing his emergency equipment, another vehicle pulled out in front of Officer Worsham in the 6600 block of Roswell Road. The impact seriously injured him and he is now recovering at Emory Hospital with a compound fracture to the femur as well as a broken shoulder, arm, hip, ankle and another break on his opposite leg. He will recover but the recovery will take many months of rehabilitation.
