I’m Rich Cross and I’ve lived in Austin since 1981.Why Austin? -Music-the beauty of the land-old friends living here-why not-I was born to roam-SO I roamed around the ol’ U.S.A. then I settled down here.
Its working out, so far.
I first mentioned the term "HOLLYWOOD INDIANS" in a conversation with Jim Bryant (the other ’original’Indian’) a number of years ago. We were in my old Bronco, driving outside of Austin one day when Jim pointed out a teepee along the highway. Somebody was selling Indian tourist stuff. When asked if I wanted to stop and have a look I said it just looked like a bunch of "Hollywood Indian" junk. The phrase stuck in our minds and is used today to title our bands. You see, "Hollywood Indians" is a tribe of talented musicians with similar aspirations, principals and beliefs towards creative sensitivity, trust and friendship for one another.
Jim and I are currently playing as an acoustic duo around Austin. I also have a 4 piece group of ’Indians’ ready to play our songs in a rock and roll format as ’Rich Cross and the Hollywood Indians.’

Current Live Project: HOLLYWOOD INDIANS- Hollywood Indians continues to be heard in and around Austin as an acoustic 2 and sometimes 3 piece band. Rich Cross and the Hollywood Indians as the 4/5 piece electric band is also available for bookings.
I continue to meet exceptionally talented artist/musicians and great friends here. Thanks to all of you.
