Statement
RENTOKILL is a punkrock- band from the eastern austrian scene.
a punkrockband in the 21st century? what is the scene?
it's easy - the scene is you, passionate people who love music, go to shows, buy and distribute records, question the establishment and the way of consumption in this so-called modern western world. we see this band as our chance to express our own (individual) freedom. as being alternative has become a sellout itself, there's a new level of political punkrock content. there has to be!
it is not about being bigger, faster or somewhat better than anyone.
it is not about competing, dressing stylishly or waving flags.
it is about the content of the mind and the heart, not only ours, but of everybody believing in true alternative music, setting up shows,
providing food and places to sleep, yet keeping this spirit
as DIY as it always had to be!
this is an animal-friendly, anti-racist, anti-sexist, movement to deny human nature.
we will go down, but we can still decide how!
this is for everyone!

Influences
basically we're influenced by everyday life, just like everyone else is. musically we're under different influences, some of them for sure are tunes by 7 SECONDS, AVAIL, GOVERNMENT ISSUE, GOOD RIDDANCE, NOFX, ALL, RISE AGAINST, STRIKE ANYWHERE, THE DESCENDENTS, PROPAGANDHI, BLACK FLAG, MINOR THREAT, FUGAZI, BAD BRAINS, GORILLA BISCUITS, WEAKERTHANS, SUBHUMANS, SNFU, LIFETIME, BAD RELIGION, KID DYNAMITE, RANCID, SATANIC SURFERS, RICH KIDS ON LSD, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, CHAOS UK, CRASS, TRAGEDY, NAUSEA, DISCHARGE, -SLIME-, BUT ALIVE, GRAUE ZELLEN, THE ANNOYED, KETTCAR, LEFTÖVER CRACK, DEAD KENNEDYS, TOM WAITS, THE LURKERS, THE RUTS, STIFF LITTLE FINGERS, GENERATION X - just to name a few. also, we're into all kinds of D.I.Y. basement punkrock, anarchist speakers and some other intelligent people we adore & look up to. finally there's more in life than just punkrock, keep that in mind.
It's not just a matter of race anymore. It's black, white, brown, homophobic, sexist and class war. You can be gunned down on your street or even at your own door...Nothing is sacred. No one is safe anymore from politics of greed and hate. Righteous rage turns dark and makes you think it's too late... but don't even believe anything the media tells you. Anyone can be racist/sexist or homophobic. Hate comes in all sizes/shapes/colors and creeds. Don't borrow from elitist power games, use words that hurt/actions that scarr...no one's immune, we all feel the pain, no matter who we are... But we can still all get along by respecting each others cultures, by rejecting labels and stop judging people by their skin color. We must change this fascist system! Education and communication are our alternatives. Start supporting one another, work with other cultures, hold hands and rejoice for our dream. A dream for a better tomorrow. No matter what race, sex or class you are, no one has the right to oppress you!

ANTICHORUS CD/LP CD Digipak out on RUDE Records in cooperation with NO REASON Records. The vinyl is available in a limited gatefold edition on purple wax, released through BROKEN HEART Records.
15 songs, recorded in 2006, released 2007. artwork and all that shit by rentokill, master by alan douches at west west side music.

people from JAPAN can get our records from IN-N-OUT Records. we're currently working on distribution deals for Australia and we're trying to set up a better deal for the US right as we speak. please bear with us, it's not easy to get a record distributed worldwide independently.
