COMEDY...
And writing non-comedically as well. And drawing. But comedy especially. Walking; talking; sunshine; the light of the moon; smiling; love (the forever kind); believing; hoping; daring; being scared sh*tless and living to look back and laugh; and comedy.
Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse; The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho; On Beauty and Being Just, by E. Scarry; The Go-Between, by L.P. Hartley; House of Spirits, by Isabelle Allende; Odd Thomas, by Dean R. Koontz; I don't read enough.
Heroes
Chris and Dave. Moja Mama i Moj Tata. C. O'hara. Johnny S. Tommy P. The Fogman. The Boss.
Jeez, how come I don't get to have dreams like that about my own work?
Well, I'll tell you what the book was about:
It was a collection of short stories thematically linked by the idea that, as weak, terrible, and ugly as human beings can be (and in fact most often are) they are also strong and beautiful during some strange times. These are not usually (or perhaps ever) the moments during which their strength and beauty will do anyone any good, but it is nonetheless touching and heartening in a Pyrrhic way.
You could never be the basis of a character in one of my stories. Your existence is counter to all my assumptions about our nature.
Oh man, don't even TEMPT me! It's been so long...I don't even know where my glove or cleats are?! I have a few things lined up for Sun, one of which is mattress shopping, how boring is my LIFE?! Anyhoo what are the deets? The wheres and whens, so to speak.
you are seriously so amazing. in every way. like in all honesty. i always keep you close to my heart and tell everyone about you and how great you are. it's really rare to find someone as special as you.. and although we're both busy and aren't able to see each other as often as we'd like, nothing changes and i truly cherish our friendship!! i love you too, sweetheart! always & forever!
ahgggggggggg i know!!! when are you comin to sd? you know lately ppl keep telling me i should be a comedian. i need you to judge if i am really funny or not.
