Stoner metal bands began rearing their heads throughout the world by the 21st century, such as Red Aim, a quartet that hails from Germany.
Comprised of members Karsten Brill on vocals, Benjamin Buss on guitar and sitar, David Kiefer on bass, and Stefan Gemballa on drums, Red Aim has been together since 1995. The group first issued a pair of self-financed and produced EP's, 1996's Sinai Jam and 1998's Orange, before signing with the People Like You/Century media label. The quartet's first release for their new label, Call Me Tiger, appeared in 1999, which was followed up with the April Fuckers EP in 2000 and their second full-length, Saartanic Cluttydogs, in 2001. ~ Greg Prato
