Acerca de Raul Aguirre
Cantautor guatemalteco, nacido en Chiquimula. A los 8 años empezó a aprender guitarra y casi desde el mismo momento escribe sus primeras canciones. Obtiene invaluables influencias que van desde David Gilmour a Simon & Garfunkel; de Silvio a Sabina... del grunge al blues. Y mucho de The Beatles, banda que le marcó desde niño.
Su música, cargada con ricas y emotivas armonías, busca no sólo encontrar el coro identificable por el público, sino llegar, por medio de una profunda lírica, a escondidos rincones en nosotros mismos. Raúl nos presenta una nueva propuesta, con una voz real y honesta; una voz con el talento necesario para ser escuchada por naturaleza propia.
Raúl ha producido, de manera independiente, un increible álbum debut, con la colaboración de destacados músicos guatemaltecos como Paulo Alvarado, cellista de ‘Alux Nahual', el baterísta Sergio Fernández ‘Taz' de ‘Los Últimos Adictos', Jorge Chaluleu, bajista de ‘Razones de Cambio' y Pedro Villeda de ‘Caravana Sicodelia' en los teclados y oproduciendo del disco. Además prestaron sus voces Eddie Méndez de ‘Nash' (tambien tocó el Ukulele en uno de los temas), Astrid Borrayo y Nicole Agner. Raúl grabó todas las guitarras y voces y compuso los 14 temas incluidos.
‘Inmortal' fue el primer sencillo radial del disco que ha decidido llamar “Por Ahí” y ahora es lanzado oficialmente en todos los medios del país un segundo tema, ‘Mientras Dormías', tema que ha sido descargado por ya miles de usuarios desde su lanzamiento exclusivo para Internet a principios de 2006.
