Influences
Everything we have ever heard, from early childhood memories of am radio to cement saws cutting through the side walk far too early in the morning, the sound of wind through tall grass and the wail of a baby on an over crowded bus.
Sounds Like
We sound like the great plains crashing into a west coast storm.
Steve, and Barry have been playing together since high school. Jarred joined up with them in 1997. The three went on tour as "Farmers Almanac" in 1999. Then they took a 6 year break. They reformed in 2006. In 2007, they were hanging out with this guy named Jake. He plays a mean bass. They thought it would finally be appropriate to add bass to the band, and Jake joined. Then in November of 2007, their friend Sean sang a Bob Pollard tribute show with them. They all had a blast, so they asked Sean to join the band. That brings us to today.

I know it's your "old stuff" and all, but that "Chain of Command" opening riff is still the modern definition of swagger to me. (Pronounced, of course, "swaggah". )
Did you ever wonder what it sounds like when a wizard gives birth to a magical unicorn while riding wild on the slippery back of a loaded teenage fire dragon in heat? Well come and listen,.........we have a new set of material that is heavy like a chevy with more hooks than a f*cking pirate convention. Hope you can make the show.
Sheesh guys, nice show. (And thanks for pass.) I love how the 5-piece continues to develop and entwine, and nice to view y'all from so many vantage points. (Though one problem with the venue---after the show, I blew my savings on my ancient and cursed nemesis, GORF. )
