I grew up in Westchester County, NY with my brother and sister... father was a writer/arranger, he played piano and sang, with more notable jazz artists than I can mention here, also wrote for Quincy Jones for several movie soundtracks (my personal favorite recording is his music for the stage play 'A taste of honey' in 1958... he was also on 'the Pawnbroker', 'In the Heat of the Night' and 'Joe', later he'd play piano w/John Lee Hooker on 'the Color Purple'...).. anyway: talented, bipolar, alcoholic. Mom graduated Northwestern for acting, was a fashion model, she plays piano and sings, too. :) I love my Mom, she's helped me alot these past few years. :) Right now I live in Little Washington, Virginia with my friend Tom. He has an iguana. Also, he's my chef. Tom, not the iguana.
To make a long story short, after an uneventful stint in high school I went to school in Albany,NY for commercial art (bad idea) and ended up in Tucson, AZ (more bad idea). After a few years I was living in a tool shed and generally not doing very well. Luckily this turned out to be a great opportunity for growth.... well, OK, not so much.
I returned home to stay with my parents and clean myself up, which I did, on my own, semi-successfully, and decided to get married and a few years later became a major alcoholic. That didn't work out particularly well, either... actually I hit bottom. My wife divorced me, and I decided to try AA... and things got a lot better. And clearer.
During this last period (the not so good one) I rediscovered electronic music, which was something I'd noodled with a little in my early twenties, and found it was something I enjoyed doing. My music's for me, it's not to impress---- well, not too much- if anyone gets anything out of it, I'm pretty happy. I'm just trying to get some compositions written...
I manage a small pizza shop, which is a nice job to have. In my spare time I websurf, make electronic music, write poetry, play videogames and am an avid SF and Anime fan. Favorite series in either category would be: Firefly, Cowboy Bebop, X-Files, Ghost In the Shell: SAC... I really like thoughtful, edgy entertainment.
Otherwise, I go to AA when I can, it's helped me a great deal. If nothing else, it's taught me there's alot to be grateful for every day.. and I never thought I'd believe that! Or believe that believing in something was all I needed to start growing.

I really enjoy your music. I float along the little bubbles of noise as I gaze out at the snow covered mountains across the home littered fields. It is music that is enjoyed over moments alone in contemplation, but also if I got to get my credit card on, Snap! I'm at the boutique and your joint's all "just buy it,yo". You feel me?
I just read your "happy to be alive" and all I can say is you have still a way with words that really touches my heart..I know your words will live on through me if I'm here, I have lots of your old poetry (more than you think from CT posting too!) and I just want to sing your prose, put it in a song and sing it.
you know the valentine's rant, as painful and evocative as it is, was very beautiful and you know ..evocative. .this is why we're here, otherwise how bored would we be if all was understandable and easy..no need to leave spirit if thats all we want..to be sure and calm ..how would you grow? you're words, as ever, are full of life and sparks..purrs.
