Books
Yes, I love books. I especially love YA books. It's hard to single out favorites when there are so many great YA authors whose books I enjoy, but I will say I'm particularly attached to any books by Patricia McCormick, David Levithan, Markus Zusak, and Jaclyn Moriarty. There are so many more YA authors whose books I adore...and many of them are on MySpace, so I hope you'll check 'em out in my Friends profiles.
Amongst "adult" (zzzz) authors, I pretty much love anything by Dawn Powell, Graham Greene, Ellen Gilchrist, Evelyn Waugh.
Random list of some favorite books:
A Confederacy of Dunces; An Actual Life; Angela's Ashes; Cash: The Autobiography by Johnny Cash; Franny and Zooey; Cut; Sold; Dangerous Angels; Feed; Gone with the Wind; High Fidelity; I Capture the Castle; Lady: My Life As a Bitch; Me Talk Pretty One Day; Mr. Vertigo; My Brilliant Career; Sleeping Arrangements; Slightly True Story of Cedar B. Hartley; The Grass Harp; The Member of the Wedding; The Perks of Being a Wallflower; The Realm of Possibility; To Kill a Mockingbird; Two Girls, Fat and Thin; White Teeth
I love your books, I've read them all! And I just bought Naomi and Ely's, and I love it. I ordered Nick and Norah's from the library, but it hasn't come in yet. My favorite book of yours is The Steps, and I've read it at least a million times =]
I just sat and read You Know Where to Find Me in a few hours. I'm pretty sure this is my new all-time favorite novel. I love your writing! I can't wait to read all of your other books. Rock on! Meg B
Rachel Cohn, you have added so much to my life, because you gave it meaning with "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist". It is without a doubt, the best book I have read in my life, not just because it was the only one I've ever read with the music that gets me through horrid days, but because it makes you believe in life, believe that there's something waiting for you after the worst turn, and I swear that by the time i'm in the ground, I'll have heard very single song you've mentioned in the book.
i finished Nick & Norah in two nights because i couldn't put it downnn. and that doesn't happen often to me! by far one of my favorite books to date. i've been a huge fan of david levithan's work for quite a while and now i definitely love your work as well. :)
Your books are so incredible. I love the edgyness of them. Most teen books I read are so watered down but not your books and that's what I love about them. I can't wait for Nick&Norah to come out.
I finished You Know Where to Find Me over the weekend and by the end had tears running outta my eyes. I really loved it, as I expected to. =) Thanks for writing such a great book.
Are you going to the UCLA/Los Angeles Times Festival of Books toward the end of the month?
Hi, my name is alissa. I was at the South Brunswick library in New Jersey yesterday. I just wanted to say thank you for coming. It was really fun and amazing to hear your answers. So, again, thank you.
Hi Rachel, I just wanted to tell you, that i finally got to finish your book, it took me while because of it's intensity, which is a good thing, i had told you that i felt related to the character, but once i read it, it seemed more real then anything, i felt like it was me, that i was reading about, which is funny, i actually ended up Crying in the end, because unlike Miles, i didn't want Help, i didn't think i needed it, but anyway sorry, um yeah, the Book is a tear-jerker, and i love you more now then before, honestly i look at the book, as what i use to be, and i want to Thank You. sooooo much.
always Tiffany xoxo
ps-i hope this comment make sense, cause as i type it, i'm having doubts LOL.
Can I just say how thrilled I am that you are also a Crumbs addict? I am always and forever explaining their righteousness to people and you already know. That's hot.
