  • Nov 1 2008 6:15 PM

Sorry.. haven't had time in awhile...

i would tend to agree that my teacher wants me to believe what he does, but really... he said, "i don't care if you don't agree with this, your going to have to learn it to pass the class." but i am sure he has that thought process that he wants to convince people.

I am not really examining my faith, in the sense that you think i am, i still whole heartedly believe in God and creation, i just hvaen't really seen any complete evidence for it. i know SOME archeologist use the bible, but not all, especially not the ones that are looking for the "missing link" or hominoids, in south africa, that the Bible doesn't even say is there in the first place. it sounds like that person who wrote that article "find king solomon's mines", was already leaning toward the Bible and maybe even was a Christian, so i feel that it wasn't realiable.. because if you insight is clouded by what you already have an opinion on it doesn't really... count...

"A day with the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day..." the word 'day' that is used in Genesis the same word that is used in the new testament in talking about jesus being in the grave for 3 days. Also the one in the verse i mentioned above is talking about eternity not here.

i realize everyone has faith, i am not questioning weather God is there not, i am talking about, what makes evolution so flawed, like you say?
  • Oct 30 2008 5:37 AM

check out my blog and tell me what you think
  • Oct 30 2008 3:38 PM

give me evidence that there was a 6 day creation? and this is how i am making faith my own. i think we should NOT be educated by the people that are coming with the same view point as us, because i will bet that, that guy will only point out the stuff we as christians want to hear. thats why i would recommend taking a real class in the real world.
also you did exactly what i said these "religious" people do when you said, "These guys have done their homework", only taking one side of the augment before you know anything about the other, why would all this freaking super smart people or go to school for this stuff, if there wasn't anything to back it up?...
  • Oct 29 2008 5:24 AM

    Joe:

I still have a counseling book that Lisa loaned me... well, probably 9 years ago. I'd like to return it sometime, it might be easiest for me to mail it to you since I've been traveling frequently lately, or if you know you or Lisa will be around the house next weekend I could venture down to Covington and drop it off.

    Hope you're doing well.

Right on So Cal! Awesome video. And I never realized I was helping you catch a bride. Our gig in '03 at Fort Lauderdale Calvary's singles group landed me a lifetime baby contract with Deirdre.

I just got back from DC over the weekend at Lou Engle's The Call. Jesus shook my world upside down and burnt it to the ground!!!

Check out thecall.com and the video on the frontpage there about the prayer and fasting day in San Diego for the nation. I went to the one in DC in front of the capitol building on the weekend and I'm still shaking.

Also, check out burn24-7.com This guy Sean Feucht has been setting up houses of prayer around the world that are engaging in non-stop prayer and worship. He is the man. They actually went to worship in the red light district of Amsterdam. The Lord told them not to go praying against the porn industry but instead to just bring down the glory and presence of the Lord in worship. A few days later the block they were on shutdown and the newspaper reported it as unexplainable, that there was no financial trouble or political trouble, that the businesses unexpectedly quit! JESUS!

Joe, I love you. Your life and walk has been the foundation to mine and I wouldn't be serving the Lord had it not been for you.

Jesus has been wrecking my temple and my world is on fire. Thank you for putting a guitar in my hands when I was 11 years old.

There was a Jr Higher at Calvary named Cindy who just followed up with me. Needless to say, I was rejoicing, if not a little surprised, that she is walking with the Lord strong and in love with Jesus. Those who I thought would be walking strong now because of their walks back then are now not walking at all. It brought tears to my eyes because apparently my walk and ministry in Jr High which I owe to you and Merlyn, worship leading, ministered to her and she is walking with the Lord to this day partly because of that influence. Just like NEW INFLUENCE, JOE. Those guys rocked, though there was a lack of cow bell.

Thank you for being faithful and stepping out on the road with your family and letting me play xbox in the back of your van then occasionally bust out my guitar at a show or two and sport my Chuck skills around the country. My wife and I are considering taking the leap now and trying this out for ourselves, God-willing.

You've been a father and a friend. I miss serving Jesus with you.
  • Aug 22 2008 12:18 AM

Joe, miss you too! Our Jesus is so good and His grace is overwhelming. Hope all is well on the Monto home front!

This weekend I'm taking a bunch of youth down to DC for prayer and fasting at The Call. It's going to be wild, just pressing into Heaven and pleading with God for the nation.
