My cat, street and studio photography, film, French, music, fine dining, art galleries and museums, rock concerts or opera, classic automobiles, architecture, staying warm during long Minnesota winters; martinis, cosmopolitans and/or sidecars while hanging out with friends...

I'm all over the page with movies, but they're a passion!
Television
Why do so many people try to say they don't watch anything but PBS? Okay, I like Nova, and I watch it regularly, but I'm into the trash, too. It's a good brain relaxer and sometimes I need to shift into low gear! I love old Mary Tyler Moore episodes, Sex and the City, The Simpsons; I wish they would re-run Ren and Stimpy. I'm a game show junkie, and I've been known to spend a sickday with Springer on the set.
I don't like to watch the news. News shouldn't sound or look like a talk show.
Books
The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test (I'm a Tom Wolfe nut), Great Expectations, 1984, David Copperfield, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Buy the ticket; take the ride!), On the Road, The Rosy Crucifixion (Sexus, Nexus, Plexus), To Kill a Mockingbird, Leaves of Grass, The Demon Haunted World (any Carl Sagan)...
I'm trying to learn French and have muddled through L'étranger, Les misérables, L'Amérique au jour le jour, plus a few others, but the going is slooooooow.
Heroes
My Dad. I hope some of his goodness rubbed off on me.
This is a tough one... I'm pretty complex.
I love cats... and they're fond of me, too.
I'm an introvert... that doesn't mean shy.
I prefer the city to the countryside, and I hate the suburbs.
My favorite cities are New York and Paris and I miss them both.
I don't drive (never did) but own a 1951 Hudson.
I follow fashion designers, but I have my own style.
I like to travel, but with a diabetic kitty, it's difficult to leave town.
I carry a camera nearly everywhere I go.
I wear farmed fur and I eat fois gras, and I don't feel a damn bit guilty about it.
I hate so-called Health Food. Soy milk is for pussies.
I like to watch movies at home.
I'm passionate about my friends.
I fall for the wrong guys.
I'm open-minded.
I'm obsessive about learning.
I'm notoriously straightforward: no B.S., no supernatural mumbo-jumbo.
I'm a skeptic.
Who I'd like to meet: Photogenic people who aren't afraid of a lens in their face!
After a time she heard a little pattering of feet in the distance, and she hastily dried her eyes to see what was coming. It was the White Rabbit returning, splendidly dressed, with a pair of white kid gloves in one hand and a large fan in the other: he came trotting along in a great hurry, muttering to himself as he came, ‘Oh! the Duchess, the Duchess! Oh! won’t she be savage if I’ve kept her waiting!’ Alice felt so desperate that she was ready to ask help of any one; so, when the Rabbit came near her, she began, in a low, timid voice, ‘If you please, sir—’ The Rabbit started violently, dropped the white kid gloves and the fan, and skurried away into the darkness as hard as he could go.
