About me: Hi, I'm Electra, Fire Dancer. As well as performing with fire fans, poi & a staff, I love to combine mesmerizing flames of fire with the sultry & hypnotic moves of Middle Eastern dance - or Bellydance.
Consequently, both me & my Hubby are now hooked on Egyptian (and other Mid Eastern) rythms, and Wade then took up playing Darbuka (Egyptian goblet drum)and accompanies me to various gigs. Together, we are Pyroshayka, drum & dance duo. Occaisionally other drummers & dancers join us too.
I also do the normal 'wife & mother of 2 kids' bit, and am qualified at aromatherapy and massage. When I used to have time, I did pottery and ceramics, but I can't fit it into a busy schedule these days, so I'm saving that one for old age. Also, returning to Egypt is must.
Oh yeah - and I'm still into festivals & alternative lifestyles since my first visit to the Stonehenge Free Festival in 1981. Sorry mum, I never did grow up!
