Vetran bassist Steve Vasconcellos...aka...'Vasco',from his secluded mountain hidaway in Lake Tahoe has composed two volume's of "Contemporary Music".'Soul Portfolio' Vol.I is based upon his observations of the ever changing "Human Condition" and "Nature" in its perfect state,and of course the interaction between the two.Drawing the 'Harmonic Structure' from nature and the 'Rythym' from Continents of orgin these compositions reflect the many travels through time and space.
The compositions are only as strong as the performances of the players...in this case everyone came up to the mountains to catch the 'Vibe' and the tracks are all 'Live'...with a vintage 'Triton' mixing board. Its all about the chemistry states 'Vasco'..The conditions were excellent... Ndugu Chancler...Drums...Brandon Fields...Saxes,Tom McMorran's piano was on fire...alot of magic on this album...Vol.II
