I guess you could say I'm an aesthete. I enjoy all things beautiful. . .especially fashion and makeup. The theatre is pretty cool too. I love watching live broadway-esque shows. They're so beautifully done. Anime is another lovely thing I admire. I like to think that I model myself after anime girls. They're so vivid with colour, and beautifully drawn. I collect pictures of anime girls that I find online. Most of all, as shallow as it seems, I enjoy looking at beautiful people. I think people can be some of the most beautiful works of art on this earth and I can't help but stare at them in awe when I see them.
Music
I listen to songs from just about every type of muzik there is. Pop, rock, oldies, metal, punk, goth, emo, rap, r&b, jazz, theatrical. . . whatever! If I like it, I like it. If I don't, I don't. I will say that I can think of at least one song from each of those groups that I love! ;)
Movies
I like all kinds of movies. Comedy, horror, drama, action, cartoon, B-rated, etc. Although action is my least favorite, I usually end up liking them ok if I'm forced to watch them. I especially like movies with surprising twists.
Television
Saturday Night Live, MadTV, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy, Drawn Together, Adult Swim, VH1, MTV
Books
When I was younger, I was such a bookworm. I read lots of fantasy books. Elves, magic, and the like intrigued me. I don't read much anymore. I've become much more aesthetically oriented since those days, so reading doesn't interest me quite as much. I may read one or two books a year if one REALLY catches my interest, but that's about it. The most recent books that I read were the original "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass".
Heroes
I don't really have any heroes that I can think of. I have inspirations. . . perhaps that's the same thing? First and foremost, there are certain people in my life that inspire me in different ways.
Ryan, one of my oldest and dearest friends inspires me in sooo many ways. He's so. . . gosh, it's almost indescribable. . . he's so clever, funny, intelligent, suave, pulled together, classy, original. . . so many other words, but in one word. . . BEAUTIFUL. I admire that in him and he brings out a beauty in me that I don't normally see in myself. I love him with all my heart and look up to him in so many ways.
Andrew. . . oh my gosh, I LOVE Andrew!!! Andrew can make me laugh like NO other. Andrew has a confidence in himself (and rightly so) that I envy. Sometimes, when I'm around him, a bit of it rubs off on me and I love it. He, Ryan, and myself make one fierce combination. Put the three of us together, and we'll entertain you for hours!
Austria was the first entertainer to really help me improve myself on stage. She taught me quite a bit when I began doing drag and, for that, I'll be forever grateful. Because of this, I'm proud to have her last name (Andrews).
Calpernia was the first transsexual that I ever met. She has helped me out with my day to day living as a transsexual more than anyone else. And she continues to help others every day as an activist for the transgendered community. I owe a large part of who I am today to her, including my first name (Sara).
There are COUNTLESS entertainers today that I admire and look up to from afar. Just to name a few... Carmella Marcella Garcia, Erica Andrews, Danielle Hunter, Maya Douglas, Dee Ranged, Bianca Paige, Stephanie Wells, Candis Cayne, Monica Monroe, Mimi Marks, Armani... and the list just goes on and on!
About me:
Wealthy orphanage matron by day, showgirl by night. . . no wait, I watched too much Jem and the Holograms when I was a kid. More like, "video game geek by day, showgirl by night!" Ever since I heard the word "Drag Queen" for the first time, I knew that's what I wanted to be! Now, here I am, making it happen!
Here's the club that I work at each week here in Nashville! It's super cute!!! Come check it (and me) out sometime! ;) http://playdancebar.com
Who I'd like to meet: PLEASE SEND A MESSAGE WITH YOUR FRIEND REQUEST! If I don't know you or recognize you, I probably won't add you otherwise. This ESPECIALLY applies to those of you who have your profile set to private. Sorry. . . =/
You always get me off guard when you pull me on stage. Next time give me a heads up and I'll freakin' strip and get completely naked and make out with you next time. Ok... Maybe at your house ;)
