Help support Mindefect while they compete in the Live Indie Rock Wars April 25th and (hopefully) 26th as they battle 19 other bands for a $50,000 recording and marketing contract! The performance will be webcast on your computer, or go to Budde’s (on E. Main st.
in Galesburg) and catch it on the big screen!! Remember, your vote counts!!
Are you going to put them up on SoundClick/iTunes/whatever for purchased download? I understand you're focusing on animation right now, but the worst that could happen is you could make some money while the music projects are on the back burner. =D
Indeed! They are going to be taking their new material to Seattle to record and mix with Estradasphere, as well! Keep an eye on the top spot in my friends list, I try to push a different band or artist each week. I am trying to keep it interesting, did you check out Ebu Gogo? They are quite unique as well!
Holy Crap!!! Your so freaking good at that bro!!! Oh my gosh! I never knew anyone who could do such a thing! I know a little bit of the process, but dang man that takes hours!!! Nice work I really was in awe of just like...no freaking way! so much props, not jokes
Hey thanks a ton bro:) It was kinda funny that you asked if I was a musician! To be honest thats the first time someone had ever asked me that. Didn't know I carried that ora around...nice. So what else do you do besides work?
I tried to message you this but you're "away": If I email you some songs, do you think you could maybe do some sort of remixes with them (not composite but individually)? There's a couple projects by this one kid that I really love (the music, not the guy), but his brother murdered him before he ever got to the point of having equipment to clean up the sound and experiment with his recordings. It's all pretty heavy and I think you could do some neat stuff with it.
I just use drum samples (one for each drum) with no time or pitch variation. I do have a couple songs which use the Reason Drum Kits 2.0 ReFill. This uses a complex system to recreate the sound of a live drummer, but it seems too much like an actual drummer that is playing mechanically. (You could rectify that sound with some work; that is, it is perfectly possible to fool someone into thinking you are using a live drummer on an actual kit.) This sort of thing is not useful to me (in most situations), as I prefer the robotic, 'evil borg' type of sound I get from just one ReDrum patch (and nothing but tweaked levels and a fairly repetitive loop).
